GoVolunteering – The Next Generation Volunteering Software has Been Launched in Plymouth
The team at The Unagroup was delighted to attend the launch of the GoVolunteering platform at The Market Hall on 9th February.
The event was hosted by David Young, the Chair of Engaged Communities and Managing Director of The Una Group, along with David Sanderson, CEO of The Rank Foundation, Ann Holman, CEO of Engaged Communities, and Dan Hardman, CTO of Core Blue.
GoVolunteering is an innovative and easy-to-use platform that provides personalised opportunities for volunteering and helps users and organisations manage their volunteering portfolios.
It has been developed through research, lived experience, and close collaboration with the community, making it the only software built by the community for the community. GoVolunteering also allows managers to self-serve and customise their own volunteer toolkit for both volunteers and employees.
The Chair of Engaged Communities and Managing Director of The Una Group, David Young said: ‘I am delighted and proud to be a part of this great project – getting more people doing their bit in & for the community, increasing efficiencies for managers of volunteers, and putting financial measures against those contributions! This is going to be fun!’
How Does GoVolunteering Platform Work?
For Volunteers, it is an easy-to-use platform to find personalised opportunities and manage their volunteering portfolio.
For Managers, it is a place to recruit volunteers and promote volunteer opportunities. It is great for events, finding new volunteers, and crisis management.
In addition to the launch event, Lindsey Hall, CEO of Real Ideas Organisation, invited guests to experience the awe-inspiring 15-metre immersive dome. This world-class space for immersive technology and learning is located in the heart of Devonport.
We all had an amazing evening learning about the new exciting platform and exploring the immersive dome – there was maybe a glass or two of wine to celebrate 😊
