Plymouth Business Awards 2021
Plymouth Live Business Awards 2021 was held yesterday, the 3rd November 2021 at the Plymouth Pavilions.
The Awards recognise and acknowledge the efforts and achievements of the business industries leaders in the Plymouth community.
It was an incredible evening to celebrate great business successes and promote the amazing work being done by great businesses and their leaders in Plymouth.
Congratulations David Young!
A massive congratulation goes out to our Group Managing Director, David Young, who deservedly took home the Lifetime Achievement Award for all of the incredible work, energy, and commitment he has poured into the Plymouth business community over the years, alongside all of the amazing work he continues to do with both The Una Group and Our Plymouth. The Lifetime Achievement Award has always been dedicated to the business person who has made a positive and lasting contribution to the local economy and community – so this is definitely an extremely well-deserved award.
“Our winner is a person who always has time for others alongside a huge commitment for Plymouth and doing good. From his many years of service with the Devon and Plymouth Chamber, his dedication to city events such as the America’s Cup through to his current endeavors through Our Plymouth, he is a fantastic choice for this award tonight. We are delighted to announce tonight that the winner of the lifetime achievement award 2021 is Dave Young.” (Jacqueline Grubb – Principal City College Plymouth sponsors of this award)
Our Plymouth
During the global pandemic, Our Plymouth’s platform was used for food and pharmacy deliveries, matching befrienders and phone companions, and recruiting, inducting, and deploying around 3,000 volunteers who continue to cover stewards rolls at covid vaccinations centres all across Devon.
Our Plymouth is a Plymouth-based organisation with a mission to develop a single digital platform that is used as a powerful tool to connect, communicate, collaborate, inspire and recognise citizen and community action. The platform was first created to help recruit volunteers for a range of different volunteering opportunities within the city. On Our Plymouth’s website, is possible to register as a volunteer, search for volunteer opportunities as a citizen and post volunteer opportunities as a community organisation.
