Who They Were.
One of our former investments, Verneos Ltd was a UK based specialist compounding company providing a range of highly innovative thermoplastic compounds.
The unique Verneos formulations of recovered post-consumer and post-industrial waste streams offered clients a significant benefit in helping to improve their environmental credentials.
What They Did.
Delivering high-volume, state of the art processing; Verneos were able to meet ever-growing consumer demand for alternative materials that are cost-effective with their specialist compounds.
The company prided itself on environmental consideration, innovation, dynamic flexibility and forward-thinking to help develop the infrastructure the UK needed in order to meet its landfill diversion and recycling targets.
The compounds made by the company were suitable for general processing on conventional moulding and extrusion equipment. Both their ranges could be used for black or grey products:
- Rigurprene was suitable for rigid applications and is a pelletised compound made from 95-100% recycled components. Fully recyclable, Rigurprene can be used as a replacement for polypropylene, polyethylene, polyvinylchloride, and other commodity thermoplastics. Benefitting from strong performance in cold temperatures and UV stability, this compound can provide process improvements and cost reduction advantages.
- Molliprene was a highly adaptable thermoplastic elastomer, made from 85-95% recycled components and is fully recyclable. A great replacement for TPE, TPV, TPO and flexible PVC, Molliprene can be used in a wide range of grey or black applications. Cost-effective and customisable to customer specification, this product offers vibration and noise reduction, weather resistance and consistent processing properties.
As a bonus, the unique Verneos formulations of recovered post-consumer and post-industrial waste streams offered clients a significant benefit in helping to improve their environmental credentials.
